Age Requirements
Rather than requiring customers to be 25 to rent, Avis at Avis North Sydney now rents to customers between the ages of 21-24. An underage surcharge may apply and will automatically be applied to the reservation. Additionally, the following restrictions also will apply for renters between the ages of 21-24: Rentals of luxury cars, mini-vans, 12-passenger vans, specialty cars, and SUVs will not be permitted.

Debit Card Policies
Debit cards are not accepted at time of rental at Avis North Sydney. A debit card can be used to pay for the rental at the time of car return.

Rental Options
Roadside SafetyNet
- Taxes not included in the Estimated Total and will be applied at the time of rental Roadside SafetyNet (RSN) service is available at all participating Avis locations in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico & U.S. Virgin Islands and New Zealand. The daily/weekly fee for the Avis Roadside SafetyNet Option is subject to change. RSN covers the cost for assistance with key replacement, lockouts, tire change service fee, jump starts and emergency fuel delivery (up to 3 gallons). Prohibited use of the vehicle will void this option.
Other Options
- Rental options not selected/offered on the avis.com website can not be modified online but have been calculated in the Estimated Total. Taxes not included in the Estimated Total and will be applied at the time of rental. Modifications to these rental options must be made by contacting customer service or can be made at the rental counter.

Within the Atlantic Provinces: No restrictions. Unlimited kilometer rates are only valid for travel within the Atlantic Provinces (New Brunswick NB, Newfoundland NF, Nova Scotia NS and Prince Edward Island PE). Based on availability; One-way rentals may be allowed to Atlantic Province locations (New Brunswick NB, Newfoundland NF, Nova Scotia NS and Prince Edward Island PE) only.
Outside the Atlantic Provinces (New Brunswick NB, Newfoundland NF, Nova Scotia NS and Prince Edward Island PE): Restricted KM allowance and fees apply outside of these Provinces. Customers must contact location or check upon arrival.
USA
